"Back to the Future Day" campaign

Old Navy's "Back to the Future Day" Campaign

This was a proactive idea I pitched to the powers that be at Old Navy. They bought it. We made it. And now it lives here. Forever.

The idea was simple: To tap into the cultural obsession with Back to the Future Day, we created a special capsule collection on OldNavy.com that let anyone dress like Marty McFly. The catch? They had to get the look before it faded away, just like the movie.

As a reward, we got featured on Mashable. (Mr. Strickland would TOTALLY approve.)

The day after the tweet, we sent out targeted emails and had an online presence that showcased our full Back to The Future Collection.
